MICROPLASTICS AND PUBLIC HEALTH

We partnered with Southern CT State University's Department of Public Health to present  information about microplastics on April 13, 2026.   So much has been in the news lately about how ubiquitous plastics are that we wanted to know what the risks were to our health, what is the status of plastics in our environment here in New Haven and what are some community based solutions to plastic pollution  We invited speakers to help us learn more about this topic.  See our home page for links to the speakers and their presentations.  We enjoyed it; the food was great and people engaged with each other and the speakers after the event.  I noticed that the New Haven Environmental Advisory Council members were in attendance; plastics were on their next meeting agenda!
