Call to order: Lynne 5:30 pm
In attendance: Lynne Bonnett, Martha Smith, Andy Danzig, Robert Hoppenstedt, Aaron Goode, Marian Evans, Rose Richi, Alec Janis, Hannah Peragine, Annie Adams (5:45), and Shanti Madison (5:49); Guest: Jamal Robinson

Minutes from May 12, 2021 board meeting approved unanimously.
Nominating Committee: Aaron Goode presented the Class of 2021 Board of Directors nominated for a 2 year term. There were no nominations received from the floor. All board members introduced themselves.
The vote was called and the following people were unanimously elected to a 2-year term on the Board:

Marian Evans
Shanti Madison
Alec Janis
Annie Adams
Rose Richi
Robert Hoppenstedt
Aaron G. presented the slate of officers nominated for a 1-year term. The vote was called and the whole slate was unanimously approved as follows:
President: Lynne Bonnett
Vice President: Martha Smith
Treasurer: Robert Hoppenstedt
Secretary: Alec Janis
Public Comment:
Jamal Robinson introduced himself; expressed interest on joining the board.
The public is allowed a reasonable opportunity to consult with the New Haven Green Fund Board of Directors at our regular meetings provided that they submit a written request to the President to that effect with reasonable notice.

Nominating Committee recommendation for Nate Wood to fill one vacancy on the board was approved unanimously.
New Business: Lynne gave updates on summer internships:
UNH intern Anna Garbowski will prepare examples of two ArcGIS story map prototypes. Andy will send to the board when received.
SCSU intern Liz Mercado is writing narratives of previously funded projects which can be used on link tre, instagram, website and the story maps. Lynne is working on how to best categorize them, e.g. by issue area, location, or other.
Suggestions for granting changes to improve processes: Annie Adams
Ideas being considered include: continued improvements to the website, having a phone number people can call to speak with someone on the GF, and streamlining the application and contract process (as long as all legal requirements are met).
Outreach Committee: Rose noted that we now have over 100 followers on Instagram.
Next meeting: July 14 5:30 PM at Robert H’s home in Hamden.

Implicit bias training conducted by Marian Evans.
Discuss what type of public outreach we want this fall, our personal goals for participation as Director of the Green Fund, and any changes we would like to see.
Demonstration of how to use Instagram.
